As discussed & reviewed in class, the test will be on....Dear King Philip..., 3 Domains, classification of animals, dichotomous keys, characteristics of animals, body systems of animals....make sure you can make connections to cells. You have all you need to study in your binder. See Alive or Not Alive for extra review materials... videos, web sites, games, print outs. As always, choose what you think is best for you.
Test on the plant & animal cells will be March 15th. Be able to label the parts of the cell & know the function of the organelles. You have your diagrams & vocabulary sheets in your binder. The Alive or Not Alive section of the web site has useful information.
March 8th is the 1/2 way point for the 3rd quarter. 5 week reports will soon follow. All grades have been posted to parent portal. We conferenced, one-on-one, about grades last week. You know where you stand. If you have any concerns, & you have not already spoken to me about them, make sure you see me before homeroom. This test will cover soil, weathering, erosion, deposition & the flow of fresh waters. The items in your binders, along with the review page under Your Mother Needs You, will be helpful for studying. There is a lot of resources to choose from the web page review section. There are videos, games, interactive labs, worksheets, etc., to choose from. Pick things that are helpful to YOU. And of course there is extra help on Tuesday. You will get more out of extra help if you come prepared with your questions.

The science midterm exam for Team 6D is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 4, 2013. If we have a snow day the exam will be on the day we return to school. If you miss the exam, you will take it on the day you return to school, during 4th period. You must make sure you come & see me before homeroom on the day you return to school. In addition to determining how much you have learned, the point of this exam is to get you use to taking cumulative exams. In June you will have a final in all your major subject areas. In 8th grade you will have a cumulative science test that will cover everything you should have learned in 6th, 7th & 8th grade. This test will help you begin to realize how to prepare for a cumulative test. Look over past tests, read through review packets (the say Interactive Textbook at the bottom of the pages & use the web site for lots of videos, vocabulary, games & information. There is a box of review materials in the classroom that you are welcome to help yourself to. If you have questions, as always, see me before homeroom &/or come for extra help.
